AI Song Lyrics Generator
Write original song lyrics in seconds. Give it a subject and an emotional arc, pick a genre, and it writes a verse, a chorus and a bridge.
Everything it writes is original. It will not reproduce the words of an existing song.
Genres
Each one has its own prompt, its own structure and its own banned clichés. 1150 example songs written so far.
Write for the occasion
One part at a time
If you only need the verse, or only the hook, these write that part on its own.
Stuck on a name?
Hundreds of original song titles, sorted by mood. These come straight from the library, so they appear instantly and cost nothing.
Poems too
The same engine writes fixed poem forms, and the ones with a hard rule are checked before you see them. A haiku off the syllable count is rewritten, not shipped.
How to get something usable out of it
- 1
Tell it what the song is about
One line is enough, and the more concrete it is the better the result. A car that finally died on the way home gives it something to hold. Heartbreak does not.
- 2
Pick an emotional arc, not a mood
Choose up to three feelings in order. Anxious then defiant then proud gives the song somewhere to travel. One feeling all the way through gives you a song that stays where it started.
- 3
Choose the genre
Each genre has its own prompt behind it with its own conventions and its own list of banned clichés, so a country lyric is built like a country lyric rather than a pop one with a truck in it.
- 4
Edit what comes back
It writes a first draft, not a finished song. Regenerate any section on its own, keep the verse and replace the hook, or take a couplet and write the rest yourself.
Writing one yourself?
The generator writes a draft. This is how to write one from nothing, in order.

Questions
Is this song lyrics generator free?
Yes. Most requests are served from a library of songs generated in advance, which is what keeps it free to run.
Are the lyrics original?
Yes. Everything it writes is new. It will not reproduce, rewrite or translate the words of an existing song, and it refuses those requests before it writes anything.
Can it write lyrics in the style of a specific artist?
It can work in a broad style, taking the register and subject matter. It will not take anybody's actual lines. Naming an artist is read as a request for a style, never for their words.
Who owns what it writes?
You do, as far as this site is concerned. It is generated text and we make no claim on it. If you plan to release something commercially, run it past a plagiarism check first, which is sensible with any generated draft.
Does it write explicit lyrics?
Only if you switch the toggle on, and it is off by default. Slurs are never produced either way.
How long is each song?
A verse, a chorus, a second verse, a bridge and an outro by default. You can ask for a shorter one, which gives you a single verse, a chorus and an outro.
Can it write a diss track about someone?
It writes battle verses against a fictional or unnamed opponent. It will not write an attack on a real, named person, and it will not build one on race, religion, gender, sexuality or disability.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in the browser and there is nothing to download.
